Project Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over my years in the creative field inside corporate environments, mom and pop ad agencies and in-house marketing departments both large and small I\u2019ve found skateboarders. Some are still pushing their useless wooden toys daily, others have semi-retired due to health or other commitments. What I noticed, over and over, is that there is a clear link between skateboarding and creativity. This site will try and examine that link through interviews with skateboarders who work in the creative fields.<\/p>\n

Problem\/Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n

How do you find the time and energy to create a slow-burn project with other full-time responsibilities. There were a few considerations that guided the design and content creation process. The site is built on the WordPress<\/a> platform for easy setup, maintenance and quick design manipulation. Content is the focus, and each interview uses a standard format which mimics a scientific approach to a creative question. This is a passion project and it would be easy to labor over every interview, image, and element. Instead, I created an ultra simple format and have stayed true to that. This gives me more time to curate the content and communicate with the talented people being interviewed.<\/p>\n
